A lot of people don't care about their history. Others say that what happen in our past doesn't affect our future, but they are wrong. History is really important for all of us. Our view of history shapes the way we view our present. If we know more about our history, we can understand who we are and where we came from. Also by knowing more about our history, we can learn from and try to avoid the mistakes we once did in the past. So I would say that our knowledge about our past is really significant for our everyday lifes.
